) Abstract: OSPF protocol is one of the widely used interior gateway routing protocols
In this paper, a topology monitoring system based on OSPF is presented
The monitoring system tracks and replays the link state of a given OSPF domain, by passively listening into OSPF’s reliable flooding information-LSA
The network topology can be discovered quickly, accurately and reliably
It provides real-time detection of topology changes then creates timely, accurate views of topology dynamics
At last, it introduces some testing results on Cernet2 network about this system
The results show it has made an efficient and useful solution to network topology monitoring
