） Abstract： This paper mainly introduces the calculation method of foundation’s mechanics and distortion
Firstly, we use the common method——“upended beam” to analyze the mechanics in the design of strip foundation
Then, we determine the distortion by way of the bending moment of each span
During the analysis, the statically indeterminate of multispan is converted to statically determinate of single span
Besides, it is sovled by means of the method——“mechanics”, so the complex system is simplified
