16e and DVB-S2 standard as a channel coding, while LDPC codes proposed by the two standards are different in encoding algorithms, which lead to remarkably different BER performance
The DVB-S2 standard uses a bi-diagonal sub-matrix for its iterative encoding, while the IEEE802
16e standard uses a quasi-bi-diagonal sub-matrix for its iterative encoding, and the encoding complexity of DVB-S2 LDPC is lower than that of IEEE802
16e LDPC
However, simulation results show that the BER of LDPC code of IEEE802
16e is far better than that of DVB-S2, since DVB-S2 LDPC set has lower weight codes
It is possible to replace DVB-S2 LDPC by using IEEE802
16e LDPC
