We first derive symbol error rate (SER) expression of dual-hop communication with MRC scheme
We also derive asymptotic SER expression
With the aid of the asymptotic analysis, asymptotic-optimal power allocation (A-OPA) strategy is determined
It is shown that a significant performance improvement is achieved compared to that of equal power allocation (EPA) strategy
