） Abstract： A modified catalysis acylation method to determine hydroxyl value of polyether polyol is proposed in this paper
The hydroxyl value of polyether polyol is determined based on the catalyzed acylation using p-toluenesuflonic acid as catalyst in the mixed reagent of acetic anhydride and petroleum ether instead of acetic anhydride and hazardous pyridine
The catalysis acylation is completed in a 250 mL iodine flask which was heated in a water bath(50oC) for 30 min under electromagnetic stirring
The apparatus used is simple and readily manipulated and the result obtained is satisfactory
