Yttria (8% in molar fraction) stabilized zirconia (YSZ) with high density (ρ>5
8g/cm3) and high conductivity(σ>10-2s/cm) was fabricated by chemical coprecipitation method
Experimental results show that the complex oxygen sensors obtain excellent and stable limiting current platform characteristics from 0% oxygen concentration to ambient air oxygen partial pressure, and the magnitude of limiting current was in a exponential relation with the concentration of oxygen gas at 650 to 750 ℃
The new type sensors with simpler planar structure, faster time response and lower cost can be manufactured for the practical application
