) Abstract: According to the Xiluodu hydropower station diversion generating system hydraulic model test, the head loss of rectangular tailrace surge tank shared by three units and branch pipe is studied,the study shows that when the three units in operation at the same time, the average total head loss coefficient is the biggest, when a unit separate operation, the average total head loss coefficient is the smallest
