） Abstract： With the entrance of supermarket chains into the wholesale and retail market of the small towns in Inner Mongolia, a large number of consumers have been attracted by the sales of their modern concepts
These supermarkets have begun to exert influence on the local wholesale and retail trades
It doe not seem optimistic for the wholesale departments to follow the traditional business model in small towns of Erdos
Based on the Experiences of the wholesale Departments of different counties of Erdos, the author analyzed their typical Problems, and had the corresponding solutions: POS systems can be gradually introduced to wholesale departments for informatization to improve operational efficiency and save cost
In addition, they may exploit characteristics of their own, such as sales of convenience and local flavor
