Metheod ： The blood pressure values of the 52 OSAS patients diagnosed by polysomnography were compared with that in the control group of 36 persons
The correlations were analyzed between systolic blood pressure ( SBP) , diastolic blood pressure (DBP) and apnea/ hypopnea index (AHI) ,Lowest arterial oxygen saturation(SaO2 - min)
Result ： The blood pressure in the OSAS group was notably higher than that in the control
There were positive relations between blood pressure and AHI and negative relation between blood pressure and SaO2 - min
Conclusion ： There is a significant correlation between OSAS and hypertension and the severity of the oxygen desaturation could be an important mechanism in development of hypertension caused by OSAS
