) Abstract: DWDM system become a hot research field for the request of large-capacity transmission system, however, its long-distance transmission encounter some problems, such as attenuation
The traditional amplifier- EDFA is limited by its narrow amplifier bandwidth, and etc
Its application has been constrained in DWDM system, but RA amplifier can greatly expand its amplifier bandwidth by taking such measures
This paper take a simulation analysis on 128 channel DWDM system which is amplified by RA
The gain flatness and gain scope of RA whose number of pumped laser is fixed can be more planar and wider by improving RA-pumped laser’s power distribution and wavelength distribution
Because of that , RA can greatly improve its gain flatness than tradition amplifier- EDFA ,as much as 20 dB increased, so the RA will have tremendous value in the future DWDM system
