) Abstract: To study the anti-proliferation and inducing apoptosis effects of four copper ternary coordination compounds of the salicylidene-amino acid Schiff base(6B,7B,6P and 7P)on human gastric carcinoma cells BGC823 and human cervical carcinoma cells HeLa through MTT assay and the flow cytometry(FCM)
Our study showed that the proliferation of BGC823 cells and HeLa cells were significantly inhibited by the four Schiff base complexes (6B,7B,6P and 7P)and the inhibition rates were concentration-dependent
FCM analysis showed the cells of drug treatment groups had higher apoptosis index(AI) and the effects were concentration-dependent
The phases of cell cycle were also changed: the percentage of cells in G0/G1 phase decreased, and the cells in G1/S and G2/M phase increased
