） Abstract： The incomplete cubane-like cluster (Bu4N)2[WOS3Cu3(NCS)3] was treated with equimolar 4,4’-bipy in aniline, which afforded a 1-D coordination-polymer {[WOS3Cu3(NCS)(ani)2(4,4’-bipy)1

It was characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectra, and thermal analysis
The X-ray single-crystal diffraction revealed that it crystallizes in a triclinic system space group Pī with a = 1

The incomplete cubane-like [WOS3Cu3] core in (Bu4N)2[WOS3Cu3(NCS)3] was retained in the structure of this polymer
Such cores are linked alternatively through single 4,4’-bipy bridges and double 4,4’-bipy bridges, thereby forming a 1D zigzag chain structure
It is noted that some aniline molecules are served as solvent while the others are served as ligands in constructing the [WOS3Cu3(NCS)(ani)2] cluster core
