) Abstract: To find out the microbial diversity of actived sludges and the similarity of microbial community in different biological contact tanks, activated sludges in the aerobic tank and anaerobic tank of JiangXinZhou wastewater treatment plant in Nanjing city were collected
Cell cracking method based on SDS was used to extract the DNA in the activated sludges, then genomic DNA were acquired about 23 kilobase
Further analysis of DNA extracted was performed by PCR-DGGE
The result is described as follows: microbial species in two kinds of biological contact tanks are quite abundant,all microorganisms in the aerobic tank exists in the anaerobic tank
The similarity coefficient calculated by software Quantity One reaches 75
