） Abstract： The influences of the image tones scope to applicability of hybrid dots were mainly analyzed and a novel halftoning method based on hybrid dots was proposed in this paper
Results of experiments showed that the proposed method can reproduce image tones accurately while reducing the impact of texture and making the tone conversion more natural
