) Abstract: the joint project operation of the dams is considered to be a convenient and economic way of decreasing the total dissolved gas(TDG), which is harmful to the fish downstream of the dams
The paper analyze the effects on the spillway deflector and joint operations based on the TDG mechanisms
The river TDG cascade effect caused by two hydropower stations was studied by using field observation, emperical formula and two phase numerical simulations of multiple operations
The results showed the combinations of the proper spillway deflector and joint operation can greatly improve the status of TDG along the rivers
Thus, the surviving conditions of fishes passing through the dams will benefit from this research
