） Abstract： Though some achievements have been made in the studies on the syndrome of spleen deficiency, the more works for elucidation of the essence of syndrome of spleen deficiency are still ongoing
It is important and feasible to study the relationship between syndrome of spleen deficiency and intestinal absorption of nutrition
Here we showed the physiological and pathological association between them
The new advance in modern technology, especially the methods of metabonomics, facilitated the research on intestinal absorption of nutrition for exploring the essence of syndrome of spleen deficiency
