In disease diagnosis, drug mechanism, drug toxicology, plant metabolomics, nutritional science, microbial metabolomics and many areas it have already achieved excellent results
Metabolomics of metabolic networks from the terminal level of representation reflects the function of living organisms, just consistent with the whole thinking of traditional Chinese medicine
Its ideas and methods has positive significance to elucidate the essence of TCM syndrome and drug mechanism of action
This paper reviews recent metabolomic study in the modernization of Chinese medicine and prospects the application and development in the field of Chinese medicine research
