) Abstract: This paper discusses problems of channel estimation in OFDM communication systems
Based on the introduction of fading channels, channel estimation for OFDM is researched with the emphasis on the algorithms
First of all, the background and classification of the OFDM system channel estimation techniques are introduced and two equivalent channel models are given when we finish analyzing mobile channels
Then, LS algorithm, MMSE algorithm, LMMSE algorithm and 3 DFT-based algorithms in the slow fading channel are researched in details as well as three interpolation algorithms in the rapid fading channel: recent interpolation algorithm, first-order linear interpolation algorithm and the second-order polynomial interpolation algorithm
Finally, the analysis and comparison of these algorithms are made by computer simulation with the tool MATLAB, from which we draw a series of useful conclusions
