） Abstract： Based on expatiation of connotation of enterprises’ core competence, enterprises’ core competence is decomposed into core competence factor based on basic activities and core competence factor based on assistant activities by core competence inscape analysis introduced by value chain theory, and enterprises’ core competence appraisal index system is constructd by principles of scientific, feasibility, maturity and practicability
Then eight printing enterprises of Heilongjiang province are selected as appraisal objects and their core competences are demonstration evaluated by catastrophe progression method
