The functions of the RanBPs are conservative in different species, but some diversities exist in plants and vertebrates
The cDNA sequence, which encodes RanBP5L, was identified from the cDNA library constructed by our laboratory
The protein was expressed in prokaryotic cell and nominated as RanBP5L
The purified fusion protein was characterized by mass-spectrum
Then by immunizing a New Zealand rabbit with purified fusion protein, high titer polyclonal antibody was harvested
The subcellular localization experiment with polyclonal antibody indicated that the RanBP5L was mostly distributed in cytoplasm
Real time PCR was utilized to analyze the different expression patterns in different growth periods and tissues
The result indicated that the RanBP5L was highest expressed in pupa and testiculus
