） Abstract： Accordding to three unconformity which are Sinian bottom unconformity, Devonian bottom unconformity , Triassic bottom unconformity, the Paleozoic of Caohu depression in Tarim basin can be divided in two tectonic cycles: Sinian-middle Devonian tectonic cycle and late Devonian-permian period tectonic cycle
duiring Sinian-middle Devonian, Caohu depression experienced Sinian-Ordovician cratonic border sag phase and Silurian-middle Devonian uplift erosion phase
The erosion quantities of the late Devonian bottom unconformity is 1000~2500 meters, accelerating from south to north as a whole
During late Devonian-permian period, Caohu depression belongs to intercratonic sag
The erosion quantities of the Triassic bottom unconformity is 100～1000 meters, accelerating from east to west
